Habib continuing his fine form!!!!!!
Huddersfield GC’s Habib Khan has kick started his golf season with a magnificent win in the Danny Willett Salver. This 72-hole men’s amateur strokeplay championship was played over two days at Worksop GC and Lindrick GC, 4th and 5th May. Habib’s scores of 69, 71, 72 and 68 (-4) saw him crowned 2024 champion. Well played!
A big shout out also to Crosland Heath’s George Hanson, whose final round 66 (the low round at Lindrick) pulled him up to a very creditable 8th place.
Dylan Shaw-Radford, another talented amateur from Huddersfield GC, was one of 46 players making the cut in the 58th Lytham Trophy (3rd-5th May) and finished in T31st on +11, a great effort in a huge international field and in challenging conditions.
Congratulations to professional Chris Hanson (Longley Park GC) who shot -3 at Howley Hall GC on 2 May on the 2020protour to finish T1st with Jack Trewhitt and Mitchell Cowie.
A solid start to the season for Nick Marsh on the Clutch Tour at Heythrop Park finishing T40th with scores 68, 75, 73 finishing level par.
